Emma Watson Confirmed for 'Noah'

Emma Watson has confirmed, via Twitter, that she is officially part of the cast for Noah. This new film is an adaptation of the biblical epic by the same name, to be directed by Darren Aronofsky and star fellow actor Russell Crowe and former co-star Logan Lerman.
Bloomsbury Launches Contest for "Biggest Harry Potter Fans"

In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Bloomsbury has launched a competition for fans of Harry Potter in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The competition entails writing, in less than 50 words, the reasons why you love Harry Potter and sending it to your local library.
Prizes will be awarded to fifteen winners, with a "leather-bound, signed, dedicated and numbered 15th Anniversary Edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" given to all fifteen and a family trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter awarded to a single, top entry. The contest runs from now until July 31, 2012 (the birthday of J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter). All the details from the press release are available after the jump.
Evanna Lynch & Jessie Cave Appear in Potter-Themed "Bookworm" Video

Today we have a great, Potter-themed video featuring actresses Evanna Lynch and Jessie Cave, who portray Luna Lovegood and Lavender Brown, respectively, in the Harry Potter films. As a part of Jessie's comedy show, called "Bookworm", Jessie tries to convince Evanna to join her non-Harry Potter book club, at which point Evanna's Potter pride kicks in. TheHPFan's First Ever Potterversary - Coming July 7th! Be There, or Be Square!

Anybody remember what happend last year on July 7th? It was a day to be remembered by an entire generation of Potterheads - the final world premiere for the final Harry Potter film, occured in Trafalgar Square, with thousands of fans watching from around the world as Jo and the cast said their final good-byes to the series they've devoted their lives too.
In celebration of the anniversary of this event - TheHPFan has proposed a "Potterversary", complete with a live watch of the DH2 Premiere livestream (we'll post the link when it happens!) and then, the film. Times are tentative at the moment, but we'll be deciding on one within the next few days - so stay tuned to our Facebook page, where we'll post an event notice.
Make sure to spread the word to more Potterheads!
UPDATE: The official Facebook Event page with schedule and timing information for the event on July 7th, 2012 is now up. Make sure to check it out and hit 'Attend' if you are coming! We've added an 'afterparty' after the watching of the film, which will take place on TheHPFan's forum for the first time, with discussions and maybe even a prize giveaway!
Pottermore Announces House Cup & Noticeboard Feature

The Pottermore Insider has revealed that the Pottermore House Cup will be awarded soon to the house that has accumulated the highest number of points. The blog also announced the addition of a new noticeboard feature on the site:

Your house noticeboard can be found in your house’s common room on Pottermore – make sure you visit to stay up to date with the latest house news as we begin the countdown to the announcement of the Pottermore House Cup winner.
As of earlier today, the House rankings are: Slytherin: 65,948,066 points Gryffindor: 65,931,593 points Ravenclaw: 65,124,278 points Hufflepuff:57,138,201 points

Great news! Emma Watson has confirmed today via Twitter, that Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) has joined the Twitterverse, under the account "@thisisbwright." Since yesterday, Bonnie has tweeted about shopping, being on set for her new film Shakespeare's Daughter and Dan's appearance the Beginner's music video, which wereported on previously.
All in all, a huge welcome to Bonnie - it will be a pleasure to have you with all of us Potterheads in the world of Twitter. Bonnie recently graduated from London College of Communication, where her short film Separate We Come, Separate We Go premiered at Cannes (see picture). We've had the pleasure of interviewing Bonnie twice - once prior to the release of the final Harry Potter film about a year ago, (here) and the other during the opening of the Harry Potter Studio Tour (here).
