Royal Family Honors 'Harry Potter'
Posted by Victoria - 10 May 2012
New quotes have been released from Prince Charles, during a recent visit to Devon, in which the British monarch discussed reading and the end of Harry Potter with local schoolchildren. According to The Telegraph: Sue Warne, the school's head of teaching and learning, said: "He asked them whether they liked reading, whether they liked Harry Potter and whether they had read the books and seen the films. "He said how awful it was that there no more Harry Potter books to come."
We've also heard in the past that Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, is a massive Harry Potter fan, and there were even rumours a few years back that she visited the set of Deathly Hallows Part 2.
LA Times Reports a Harry Potter Theme Park for Japan
Posted by Victoria - 09 May 2012
This just in from our affiliates at LA Times: Harry Potter has conquered the world with books and then with movies. Now he’s doing the same with theme parks.
Universal Studios Japan on Thursday will unveil plans to build the first international version of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the blockbuster attraction that has drawn millions of fans to Universal’s Orlando resort and is coming to Los Angeles.
The Osaka destination -- expected to begin construction in the next few weeks with a planned opening in late 2014 and an expected cost of about $500 million -- brings Hogwarts Castle and rides including Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey to the boy wizard’s biggest market outside of the United States.
The article also went on to quote JK Rowling, making us think this sounds pretty official! "I was delighted to experience and enjoy the attention to detail, creativity and superb craft that went into the first Wizarding World in Orlando,” she said. “I am equally delighted that the same level of expertise and enjoyment will translate to the new park in Japan.”
Harry Potter has grossed over $900 million in Japan, more even than in Britain - what do you think of adding a Japanese park? Or of building all these new parks in general?

Today we have a picture that dates 10 years back! Devon Murray, the actor who portayed Seamus Finnigan in the Harry Potter films, posted a photo from his Twitter account of a tiny Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), and Alfie Enoch (Dean Thomas) on the first day of filming for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Emma Watson Feautured in June Edition of Glamour UK Magazine
Posted by Mariam - 05 May 2012
British magazine Glamour UK has devoted a section of their June edition to Emma Watson's fashion style. Emma spoke to the magazine about beauty tips, how her hair styles have been affected by Harry Potter and her favorite make-up looks. See quotes from Emma below and full magazine scans, courtesy of WatsonUncensored, after the jump.
"There's such intense pressure on how I look that when I get a chance not to worry about it, I don't wear very much make-up at all. Sometimes I just get my eyelashes tinted and wear moisturiser."
"This sounds ridiculous, but if you analyse what I've done with my hair over the years, it always matches my moods. Cutting off all my hair was all about getting rid of Harry Potter, and going dark was about mourning the end of Potter."
"I'm told, 'Please, please grow your hair, so we can do different roles.' [...] It's kind of overwhelming [listening to everyone], especially with your diet and skincare. You get so many different pieces of advice, you don't know what to listen to. I think people need to...
