Daniel Radcliffe to be Guest Editor on Band of the Day; Potted Potter Tickets Go on Sale for Toronto
Posted by Victoria - 30 Jan 2012
On Friday, February 3rd, Daniel Radcliffe will be the guest editor for the 'Band of the Day' app, available on iPod touch, iPad and iPhone. Dan has picked a band to feature, and there will also be an exclusive interview with him - so make sure to download the app in time. You can find more info about 'Band of the Day', on their website. We also have a few more interviews with Dan, from CBC on Studio Q (listen here) as well as a hilarious one with Global, in which a rather bold mother interrupts his interview to ask him to marry her daughter.
As well, tickets go on sale today for the acclaimed British play "Potted Potter," an unauthorized parody on the Harry Potter series, for its North American debut in Toronto. Put on by former BBC hosts Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, it is geared for ages 6+ and is said to be good fun, opening February 14th. (We may be getting the chance to review, we'll see.) Tickets can be booked via MasterCard's Priceless Toronto, or on sceneopolis.com.
Thanks to Natalie, @melmagrissy on Twitter, and Amanda for contacting us about both events.

A new clip from Rupert Grint's new film, "Into the White" has just emerged, in which, yes - we catch a glimpse of Rupert on skis! We couldn't get an embed code on the clip, however it can be watched at this link.

In order to survive the tough winter in the Norwegian wilderness they have to stand together. It's the start of a long and unlikely friendship.

According to the production company, the right have also been signed for Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Thailand, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Croatia, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Slovenia and Macedonia, with more hopefully to be added.

Wow - I still can't believe it! Daniel Radcliffe was in Toronto yesterday for the Canadian premiere of his new film, "The Woman in Black". Here's the video that we took - you'll find our interview first, and a few others afterwards:
Dan also appeared on New.Music.Live on MUCH, as well as Kiss 92.5 this morning, and CBC with Eli Glasner yesterday, the clips of...

Posted by Victoria - 24 Jan 2012
This mornings Academy Award nomination announcements were held in LA, and though we didn't receive as many Oscar nods as we would have liked, Deathly Hallows Part 2 is now officially in the running for three Academy Awards. Warner Bros had made an attempt to push the film for Best Picture, Best Score, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor, all to none avail. The verdict? BEST ART DIRECTION (alongside Hugo, War Horse and The Artist) BEST MAKE-UP (alongside Albert Nobbs and The Iron Lady) BEST VISUAL EFFECTS (alongside Hugo, Real Steel, Transformers, Rise of the Planet of the Apes)
