Volgograd’s Rotor lost to Ufa in the 33rd round of the Pari First League, marking their first loss of the spring portion of the season.
The Sunday match in Ufa ended 1-0 in favor of the home side. Colombian forward Aragon Ortiz converted a penalty in the 71st minute.
Rotor remains in fourth place with 53 points. Dmitry Parfenov’s team had been unbeaten in 12 matches before this defeat. Ufa now has 34 points, climbing to 15th place and moving out of the relegation zone.
In the final round of the season, Rotor will host Chayka from Peschanskopskoye, while Ufa will travel to face Spartak Kostroma. Both matches are scheduled for May 16.
